School Picnic

Am I the only parent whose heart sinks when their child comes home and happily announces there will be a parents' picnic at their school? My sweet, gregarious mum said that it would be a great chance to mingle and get to know the community, but frankly the idea of it fills me with dread. Being a complete introvert and recluse, the idea of group meets runs chills down my spine. But we went, and didn't really mingle, but did get to see all of Leith's favourite spots and meet a few of his friends. I must say Kunyung Primary is a dream place, I wish I had, had the opportunity of going to such a beautiful, broadminded school.
